Dr. Carrie Eckenhoff, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Carrie has been practicing physical therapy in the Vail Valley since 2013, after earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado. She is a board-certified orthopedic specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists—a distinction held by fewer than 0.5% of physical therapists in the United States.

Carrie is passionate about helping people reconnect with their physical capacity and build lasting resilience. Her journey to this work has been anything but linear. From growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, to studying psychology at Emory University while competing in NCAA soccer, to working as an adaptive ski instructor in Aspen, she has consistently followed a deep curiosity about the human mind and body along with a love of movement.

Today, that same curiosity continues to shape Carrie’s life and work as a physical therapist. She specializes in orthopedic care and also enjoys working with individuals with neurological and vestibular challenges. Carrie sees each patient as a unique puzzle, focusing on helping them build efficient, sustainable movement that fit naturally into their lives.

Carrie is also certified in dry needling and as a yoga instructor. She integrates these skill sets with thoughtful exercise prescription, hands-on care, and education to support each person’s goals and overall well-being. Carrie brings warmth and attentiveness into her care, creating a space where people feel supported, understood, and empowered to move forward with confidence.

Outside the clinic, Carrie can usually be found trail running with her dog, mountain biking, skiing, or practicing yoga. She also enjoys creative pursuits and spending time with her close community, her husband, and their two energetic young boys.
